WE ARE OPEN!!
COVID-19 UPDATE
We are open for in-person and virtual martial arts classes. Our highly trained instructors teach the in-person and virtual classes at the same time. This means you can train in whatever way works for you on that particular day and still get the excitement and energy of live, group classes. In fact, many of our students are busy professionals and parents that have enjoyed the convenience of training in person one-day and virtually the next.
We offer full class schedules for kids and adults. If you would like to experience White Tiger Kung Fu for yourself or your child, please schedule your one-on-one intro class below.
TRY AN INTRO CLASS!
We offer introductory martial arts classes for kids and adults. These classes are fun and informative, and get you (and/or your child) one-on-one time with one of our black-sash instructors. Please complete the form below and one of our instructors will reach out to you to discuss all the details.

The Parable of Brother Leo
by
Unknown (Analysis by David Fell)
“A legend tells of a French monastery known throughout Europe for the
extraordinary leadership of a man known only as Brother Leo. Several monks
began a pilgrimage to visit Brother Leo to learn from him. Almost immediately,
they began to bicker about who should do various chores.
On the third day they met another monk going to the monastery, and he joined
them. This monk never complained or shirked a duty, and whenever the
others would fight over a chore, he would gracefully volunteer and do it
himself. By the last day, the others were following his example, and from then
on they worked together smoothly.
When they reached the monastery and asked to see Brother Leo, the man
who greeted them laughed. "But our brother is among you!" And he pointed to
the fellow who had joined them.”
Leadership is often misunderstood to mean you have to be the highest ranking, most
vocal and most central person in the group. Through this example we see that
Brother Leo is neither vocal (in words) nor really the central person (as it appears
they didn’t even know his name!)…yet he led this group of monks to work
harmoniously through his example. His form of leadership we call “servant
leadership” where the leader is more focused on giving than getting, serving rather
than being followed, doing rather than demanding. Leadership based on example
rather than command.
Often when we “have to say something” it comes from a need we have to be
heard…a need our ego has to be heard; Often you’ll see that if you talk less and take
more action, the people that concern you will follow your lead.
In Kung Fu, especially White Tiger Kung Fu, where there are a ton of Ancient Chinese
Folklore stories and personal experiences people enjoy sharing, it is very easy to get
caught up in talking to people about them and not martial arts training. If you find
yourself doing this, see what happens when you stop talking and start martial arts
training…see if everyone around starts doing the same. If they don’t, pay them no
mind (keep doing it as it will serve you well), if they do you will have led as Brother
Leo led….by example.
They say “Actions speak louder than words”…they may be right!
